As a native of a small town, with a panoramic view of the great mountains of North Carolina in Lenoir, I quickly recognized my drive and passion stemmed from the values instilled in me from that community spirit so many loathe for. My parents guided me from right and wrong, most importantly we spent several days in church or having church at home. I took that passion & moral compass with me as I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a Business Finance Concentration at Winston-Salem State University, where the motto is “Enter to Learn & Depart to Serve”, which is what I did.
Leadership
Throughout my leadership roles it is always my goal to empower those around me, specifically my team. Through empowerment there is growth, understanding, and accountability. The second, but an equal essential characteristic that must be demonstrated is customer service. Ensuring that the clients, owners, investors, residents, and even vendors feel valued. Whether right or wrong it is important in a business relationship each person’s senses their opinion, investment, choice, issue is valued and respected.
Vow
My vow to the community is to continue to serve. Whether it is helping someone rent a home, guidance through home ownership, selling a home, creating a resume, providing interview techniques, or training in customer service and corporate cultural diversity. My vow is to help all the people that I can while living in this world, and leave a legacy to my children. I’m not where I want to be, but I strive daily to get there.
